Started in Istanbul in June 2011, What do you live for? is an investigation carried out through research, video interviews and installations.

During our lives we are linked to other human beings and still we are single individuals in the world. People constantly look for something to be part of as a response to their singularity. Thus we have different gods in which some of us believe. We follow gods that cannot be seen or desires that cannot be fulfilled. We invest our energies to worship them creating never ending purposes for our lives. But this is probably our way to distract ourselves from the terror of acknowledging our temporality and protecting ourselves from a chaos caused by uncertainty. So what do people put in their long distance, what do they choose to believe, to live for?
